I have always found traveling to not only be an escape from the stress of school and teenage drama, but also a way to familiarize myself with the customs and norms of people from all around the world. The idea of being in a foreign place always invokes excitement in me and motivates me to uncover the commonalities or differences people and their culture possess. Every place I travel to thus offers new insight and widens my perception of the human race. Currently,my favorite places of escape are Italy and London, both beautiful in their landscape and tranquility.
I currently volunteer at a local library where I create, plan, and execute ways to engage the community with programs for people of all ages, although my personal favorites to plan for are those for children. I also tutor for Saint Margaret's Volunteer center where I help my students achieve their academic goals that they would otherwise be unable to afford. I also work as an ambassador for my school, which allows me to give tours of my school to prospective families and show my school-spirit. Lastly, I work to distribute food to the homeless with "Food on Foot" and write them letters of encouragement.
